Computing and Equipment Use Policies
These policies include those involving computer use, fax service, printing and photocopying malfunction, and network access in the Library.
3D printing is available in the Reilly Learning Commons. For more information on 3D printing, see the LibGuide 3D Printing in the Reilly Learning Commons.
The University of Scranton, a private Jesuit institution, provides computer access to the public for research and educational use. Members of the public may use the three computers designated as "Public Terminals." These computers are located on the Second Floor on a round table. Guests may use the computer for one hour, even if other machines are available and no one is waiting. Only students, faculty, and staff of the University of Scranton may use password protected computers. Infraction of this policy will result in the loss of a guest's use of the Public Access computers.
Report any printing, copying, or microfilm malfunctions to the Reference or Circulation Desks. For poor copies due to equipment problems, staff will either get a good copy for you or will have a refund placed on your Royal Card. If poor prints or copies are due to personal errors, refunds will be at the discretion of the Library Staff.
All floors in the library have wireless access points.
All University of Scranton students, faculty, and staff members may use the ROYALSECURE wireless network if their computer meets specific security requirements. For more information, contact the Technology Support Center at 570-941-4357.
