EZBorrow Information

What is PALCI EZBorrow?

EZBorrow is an interlibrary loan system that provides access to books not available in the Weinberg Memorial Library.  The system allows users to search simultaneously the catalogs of over 65 libraries in PALCI (the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc.) and request books for delivery to the Weinberg Library.

When looking for a book not in the Weinberg Memorial Library's collection, first try searching EZBorrow.  A separate Interlibrary Loan service is available for articles and for books not available through the EZBorrow system.

Who is eligible to use EZBorrow?

All current University of Scranton students, faculty and staff with a valid Royal ID number (RNumber) and up to date library patron record may request books through EZBorrow.

How long will it take to receive my book?

Books requested via the PALCI EZBorrow system are typically received within one week or less.

How will I know when my book is available?

You will receive an e-mail notification (with the subject line "Circulation Notices") when your book is ready to be picked up. You may pick up your book at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Weinberg Memorial Library.

How long can I keep the book?  Can I renew it?

The loan period is 12 weeks (84 days), with no renewal.

Is EZBorrow free?

There is no charge to borrow books through EZBorrow, but borrowers are financially responsible for items that are damaged or lost while checked out on their account.
