Alumnae/i Weddings at Madonna della Strada Chapel

As a Catholic chapel within the Diocese of Scranton, The University of Scranton has been granted permission to host Roman Catholic weddings for alumnae/i of the University. Campus Ministries welcomes the celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage provided that either the bride or groom is a fully-initiated Catholic (having received Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation) and has graduated from the University. Weddings are held in Madonna della Strada Chapel and in accord with regulations of the Catholic Church.

Please download the University Wedding Planning Guide to help with answering your questions. After reading this guide - especially the initial check-off list on p. 3-4 - please email campus.ministry@scranton.edu with your class year, as well as a proposed date and time for the ceremony.
