June 2024 Issue of Brennan Barometer Published
The June 2024 issue of Brennan Barometer -- a digital newsletter that offers analyses and commentary on trends and developments in the regional economy -- is now live. The publication analyzes economic issues that are particularly important to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton metropolitan statistical area, including labor market trends in employment and unemployment, and the housing market.

Alperin Financial Center
The Irwin E. Alperin Financial Center is a state-of-the-art financial research center. It features a simulated stock market trading room and 12 Bloomberg terminals that allow students to obtain hands-on experience with stock and foreign currency markets.
An electronic ticker, specialized trading software and live data feeds from currency, securities and commodities markets all serve students looking to perform real-time research.

Kania Students Win State Awards
University of Scranton students won top awards at state level business competitions to qualify for the 2021 Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in their first year of existence as a chapter at Scranton. The national Future Business Leaders of America conference is for collegiate business students from across the United States in addition to a few other countries who have successfully competed at the state level and qualified for the highest level of competition.
Data Mining Students Gain Real-World Experience with Food Supply Chain Project
Students in Dr. Yibai Li's Data Mining class developed a model for an egg wholesaler that could predict egg prices six weeks in advance.
Dr. Ashley Stampone Named Among NEPA Business Journal's Top 20 Under 40
Accounting Department faculty member Ashley Stampone '10, G'11, DBA '22, was named among the Northeastern Pennsylvania Business Journal's Top 20 Under 40. Published annually, the list honors "the best and brightest young business stars in the region."

The Kania School has been accredited by AACSB, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, since 1996.
