Accreditation

The Kania School of Management’s programs are increasingly garnering the attention and respect of national and global entities.   Premier accreditation, top rankings, and the recognition and praise of business luminaries have brought heightened visibility to the School’s long tradition of quality, market relevance and social mission.

The University of Scranton’s business programs have maintained accreditation with AACSB International since 1996 – a distinction held by fewer than five percent of business-degree-granting institutions worldwide.  In its most recent maintenance of accreditation visit in November 2020, AACSB officials singled out the high quality of faculty intellectual contributions and noted that teaching and mentoring are strengths of the Kania School.  The team also commented on the effectiveness of the assessment program and the high level of professional and community engagement through activities such as the Executive in Residence program, Young Alumni Day, and the Non-Profit Leadership Certificate program.  AACSB has extended Scranton's accreditation through 2025.
