Career Coaches Program

The Kania Career Coaches Program is a unique program which pairs a current Kania student with a distinguished alumnus or friend of the University.  These coaches offer students advice and counsel regarding their career and professional development.  Experience has shown that coaching is a significant help in securing internships and full-time employment.

The program's main goals are to provide a professional contact, increase the student's exposure to the professional world, provide opportunities to discuss leadership styles and skills, and provide opportunities for career planning and networking.

The beginning stages of choosing a career path are crucial; therefore being able to speak with and learn from an experienced individual within one's field has proven extremely beneficial to our students.  Recent coaches include a managing director in investment banking, a managing director in sales and trading, CEO's, COO's, and CFO's of major financial services firms, a human resources executive, a marketing principal, and a "Big 4" public accounting partner. Some of the companies from which we draw our mentors include: Deloitte Touche, Dun & Bradstreet, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, AXA Equitable, ARAMARK, Bank of America, Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sanofi Pasteur, SRA International, The Vanguard Group, UBS Investment Bank, Scranton Chamber of Commerce, Merrill Lynch, Madison Square Garden, Metropolitan Life, Morgan Stanley, and PNC Bank.
