Weekly Wellness Classes Descriptions

Energizing Yoga : This class is for experienced students as well as beginners with a higher fitness level. Breath is emphasized throughout this practice. The class includes sun salutations, standing, seated and reclining poses as well as some balancing poses. Relaxation closes the class.

Thursdays 5pm – 5:45pm  Open to students, staff and faculty.  Instructor: Chelsea Manganaro



Lunchtime Yoga : This class is suitable for the beginner yoga practitioner. Basic yoga poses will be taught. Breathing practices and relaxation techniques will be presented to achieve an inner sense of wellbeing. Instruction will include simple alignment techniques to cultivate comfortable posture and internal strength.
Wednesday 12:15pm – 12:45pm

Mindfulness Meditation: This half hour class provides the fundamentals of Mindfulness Mediation which is shown to reduce anxiety, depression and to improve well-being. Through increased awareness of body sensations, thoughts and emotions and a reduction in stress sensations these practices are intended to enhance the participant’s ability to recognize and respond to the stressors of everyday life.
Through meditation and awareness exercises, we will explore this practical time-proven approach to living fully in the present moment.

*POUND: POUND® is designed for all fitness levels and provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable, and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities.
Join us on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm to help POUND away stress and channel your inner rock star. (If you don't have drumsticks, participants can use anything straight or rod-shaped up to a quarter-pound in weight- Silicone kitchen utensils are also great alternatives. )
