Rita Fleming-Castaldy, Ph.D.

EXCELLENCE IN SCHOLARLY PUBLICATION

The Scholarly Publication Award was created to promote faculty scholarship by recognizing the special efforts of faculty who strive for and have attained distinction in scholarship and creative activity. Dr. Rita Fleming-Castaldy is this year's awardee.

Dr. Fleming-Castaldy, Professor of Occupational Therapy, has authored over 175 works, including peer-reviewed and national and international journal articles. In 2017, Rita was honored with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Award for Excellence in the Advancement of Occupational Therapy. Her Dean, PCPS, and the OT faculty and students truly appreciate her extraordinary contributions to the advancement of occupational therapy. Dr. Fleming-Castaldy's work in "advancing disability rights, empowerment and historical literacy in the field of occupational therapy should be recognized by the University of Scranton.
