Faculty Development

The University has a variety of programs to support faculty development, including a generous annual faculty travel allowance, special session faculty development funds, a number of special faculty enhancement awards, a fund especially designed to encourage interdisciplinary engagement, and a cooperative grant program with Marywood University. 

Additionally, the University has supports faculty with regular released time for unfunded research and sabbatical leaves.  The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs provides internal research funding and funding for student/faculty research, along with training and support for external grant opportunities. 

Other support includes a faculty forgivable loan program and, through the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE), grants for teaching enhancement and stipends for developing web-based courses.  There are also special programs specifically designed to assist first-year faculty.  To read more about these programs in detail, please click on the following links:
