Scholarships for Gujranwala Students

Forman Christian College, Lahore, offers Sagheer Manzil Scholarships to students from Gujranwala. The scholarships are named after Capt. Sagheer Hussain (Shaheed), who laid down his life in the defense of Pakistan in 1965, and his family residence, "Sagheer Manzil." The terms and conditions of the scholarship are as follows:

1. The applicants must have spent at least two years at, and graduated from one of the following high schools in Gujranwala:

Govt. MA Islamia High School
Govt. AD Model High School
Govt. AM Islamia High School, No. 1
Govt. FD Islamia Girls High School

2. The scholarships are available to students who want to study science subjects: pre-engineering, pre-medical, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, mathematics, pharmacy, or business administration.

3.The students can enroll in either Intermediate (FSc) or Baccalaureate (BSc) classes.

4. Both male and female students are eligible to apply for the scholarships. However, female students are  admitted only to the Baccalaureate (BSc) classes.

5. The scholarship will provide tuition, room, and board for one year initially; however, it will continue for the second and subsequent years upon satisfactory academic progress of the student. The recipient will be provided with accommodation in a double room. The students should pay for books, supplies, and personal expenses.
