About the Royals Historical Society
Founded on October 7, 1960 by Michael DeMichele and Michael Loyak, the Royals’ Historical Society is one of the oldest and most successful student clubs on the University of Scranton campus. In the past, the RHS won numerous “Club of the Year” awards.
Open to students interested in the study of history, the society sponsors activities that may include trips to historic sites, speakers on historical topics, and special social events.
Often referred to as the “History Club,” membership is open to all University students who share a love of history.
Students should be alert to announcements of society meetings.
The moderator of the RHS is Dr. Sean Brennan.
