Class Of 2024 Senior Formal

Senior Formal is offered to full-time* "social status seniors" who have applied to graduate. All undergraduate students who have applied to graduate (as of March 1, 2024) in May 2024 have been granted access to the registration form. Senior Formal

  • Check in and Wristband Pickup: Thursday, May 9 from 1:00-5:00 pm - Moskovitz Theater
  • Senior Formal: Thursday, May 9 from 7:30-10:30 pm - Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel
    • Includes passed hors d'oeuvres, pasta & carving stations, dessert, three hours of open bar, and DJ/Dance

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my driver’s license. Can I still attend Senior Formal?

A: You must bring some form of government-issued photo identification with you to Senior Formal Check-in and Senior Formal. Bars and bar staff are required to check each person’s ID with no exceptions. This is in accordance with Pennsylvania law.

Will Senior Formal sell out?

A: Senior Formal tickets historically sell out every year. If the event sells out, we will initiate a waiting list. Spots on the waitlist will be offered in the order they were signed up for, with priority going to current seniors.

What payment methods are accepted?

A: The following credit and debit cards are accepted via online registration; cash and Royal Card will not be accepted:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • Discover

Do I (or my guest) have to be 21 years old to participate?

A: For Senior Formal, seniors and their guests may participate if they are over 21 (but over 18). All attendees will be issued a wristband at check-in that they must wear to the event. There will be a special wristband issued to attendees under 21 years of age. Please note, there is no change in price for the event for attendees under 21. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for seniors that will not be 21 at the time of Senior Formal.

Where do I pick up my Senior Formal tickets?

A: Senior Formal check-in will take place on Thursday, May 9 in the Moskovitz Theater from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. This is the only time that you and your guest can pick up your Senior Formal wristband.

Can I bring a guest to Senior Formal?

A: Yes, members of the Class of 2024 may register a guest for Senior Formal (space may be limited).

If I cannot make Senior Formal after I register, can I get a refund?

A: All sales are final, no refunds.

Is there anything required for me to bring to Senior Formal?

A: Your Royal Card, government-issued photo ID, and Senior Formal wristband are required for entrance. Government-issued photo ID includes a passport or any state’s Driver’s License. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in non-entry to the event.

Can I use my own mode of transportation to get to the Radisson for Senior Formal?

A: Senior Formal at the Scranton Radisson is within walking distance of the campus. For your convenience, shuttle service will be provided between the campus and the venue. Please check back soon for the shuttle schedule and pick-up/drop-off locations. Parking will not be available at the Scranton Radisson.

What is the attire for Senior Formal?

A: Senior Formal is semi-formal attire. Semi-formal attire include jacket & tie, dress pants, skirts, or dresses.

Are outside beverages allowed at Senior Formal?

A: No outside beverages are allowed at Senior Formal. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in non-entry to the event and cancellation of registration without refund.

I have dietary restrictions, what do I do?

A: Please note any dietary restrictions in your registration form if you have any concerns so we can coordinate your needs. The venue will be able to accommodate dietary restrictions.

What if I'm a graduating senior and am not able to register online?

A: If you believe that you are a "social status senior," have applied to graduate, and are having difficulty registering, please email seniorprogramming@scranton.edu.

What else do I need to know about Senior Formal?

A: We want you to spend time together at this event, but would also like to encourage you to make appropriate decisions regarding your participation. Please note that inappropriate behavior at this event will be forwarded to the Office of Student Conduct according to our Student Code of Conduct. Additionally, any inappropriate behavior will jeopardize your ability to participate in any remaining senior events such as the President's Undergraduate Reception and/or Commencement.
