Merit-Based Scholarships

A separate application is not required. -- All accepted applicants are automatically evaluated for merit aid based on the completed Admissions application. Scholarship recipients will be notified in their acceptance letters. 

The scholarship requirements listed below are for freshman entering in fall 2019.  SAT/ACT Optional applicants will still be reviewed for scholorship. 

Presidential Scholarship

These merit-based, full-tuition scholarships are awarded for exemplary academic achievement. Presidential scholars are typically in the top 2% of their class, have a minimum Math and Critical Reading SAT score of 1450 or 32 ACT (Composite score), a GPA of 3.9 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and have demonstrated leadership and community service.

Dean's Scholarship

These merit-based, partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement. Recipients are typically in the top 20% of their class, with an SAT score of 1360 or 29 ACT (Composite score) and a 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), or are in the top 10% of their class, with a minimum SAT score of 1270  or 26 ACT (Composite score) and a 3.8 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

Loyola Scholarship

These merit-based, partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate a strong level of academic achievement, are in the top 30% of their high school class, have a minimum SAT score of 1170 or 24 ACT (Composite score), and a 3.2 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

The merit scholarship program is named in honor of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.

Arrupe Scholarship

Students of color are considered for this award and typically rank in the top 30% of their class, with a minimum SAT score of 1080 or 21 ACT (Composite score) and a 3.2 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

University Award

These merit-based, partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to incoming freshman and transfer students in recognition of high school achievement.
