Transportation

The University of Scranton is located in the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania in Downtown Scranton and is easily accessible by both air or bus.

Our office offers new incoming international students complimentary transportation to the University from the Wilkes-Barre airport and bus station between 8:00am (0800) and 8:00pm (2000) from Monday through Thursday of Orientation Week.

Airport

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP) is approximately ten minutes from campus. Serviced by Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, American Eagle, and United Express, Scranton is easily accessed from around the world through the Star Alliance, Skyteam, and One World groups. We recommend, although it is not required, that you fly directly to Scranton as it allows us to better anticipate your arrival.

Bus

Less than five minutes from campus, the Scranton Bus Terminal provides convenient transportation to and from New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT). Should you choose to arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, it is recommended that you travel by subway to Port Authority where you can board a Martz or Greyhound bus to Scranton. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to clear customs and travel to Port Authority when planning your travel.
