Vanessa Moylan
Vanessa Moylan is running for a Student Senate seat to represent the University of Scranton commuters! She is currently a first year biology major and lives in Jefferson Township, PA. She recently has been given a position as a new orientation assistant for the Center for Student Engagement and is taking over the secretary board position for AFYA Global Health Club at Scranton next semester. Based on her new and previous leadership involvement in high school with Student Government, Mathletes, National Honors Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and her lacrosse and tennis teams, she feels prepared and determined to take on this role through her organization and social skills. She wants to advocate for and communicate with her fellow commuters in order to enhance their journey throughout the remainder of their time at the University. She believes she has the potential to help improve the commuters’ experience by working closely with specifically Student Government and the Commuter Student Association to increase awareness and participation in events and opportunities around campus. Vanessa promises to not disrespect her standing of acting as a representative for the commuters and will appropriately carry out her duties! Look out for her name on the ballot April 13th!
