Philip Huffman

Philip Huffman is a Scranton native and an international studies major here at the U. His intended minors are philosophy, Arabic, Chinese, military science, and French. His career goal is to either become a foreign policy analyst or a foreign language officer in the CIA. He’s also a language-learning maniac as he can speak fluent German as well as some French and Spanish and is currently learning Arabic, Chinese, and Russian. He’s also in ROTC, Ranger Challenge, the Political Science Club, the Students for Life club, and the College Republicans.
Philip Huffman is a Scranton native, (he walks 10 blocks to go to school every day) so he knows how vital the University of Scranton and its students are to the city of Scranton. He appreciates not only how the University of Scranton helps the city out economically, but also how it ensures the safety of people in Scranton through its police department. He is running for student senate because he is grateful for what the University has done for his city and wants to do everything in his power to facilitate the lives of his fellow students in return. Whether that means he’ll be in meetings to increase the number of omelet stations in the dining hall or helping create a poker club, he'll be working his hardest to achieve whatever it takes to help any and all University of Scranton students.
