As you can see from the pictures above, one of my main interests is learning about the people and culture from different parts of the world. I have had the opportunity to travel quite significantly. I have been to China, The Philippines, Vietnam, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Costa Rica, England, Scotland, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the former Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Greece, and hope to be able to continue exploring the globe someday.

Although traveling has been one of my favorite learning experiences, I believe the time for this level of energy consumption has passed. Therefore, in the interest of sustainability, I plan to take more advantage of our home in NEPA, on Lake Henry in the Pocono Mountains. I enjoy hiking and water sports in the summer and cross country skiing on and around the lake in the winter. Staying closer to home is one way that we can reduce our ecological footprint and practice environmental conservation.

As you can see, I have a great interest i global sustainability. With my training and background, I feel I am best suited to help educate anyone who will listen about the need for harmony between the economy, the environment and justice for all people. (For more information on sustainability, please go to the Sustainability page which can be accessed via the buttons on the left side of this page.)

One of the reason that I feel so strongly about the need for global sustainability is because I want to see my grand children experience the same great life that I have. I do love being "CC" to my five grandchildren - McKenna (5), Lexi (5), A.J. (3), Samantha (3), and Arik (14 months). There is never a dull moment at our home when the kids are around! They all enjoy our lake property throughly, especially walking through the woods to see "Mother Nature" or the "elephant's foot", playing in the playhouse or throwing leaves over the bridges to see them float out the other side.

Living in the type of place that we do gives all who come here an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy how wonderful and beautiful nature is. Just maybe it will make enough of an impression that they will go away pondering the need to become a steward of the earth so that future generations will have enough resources to live a good life
