Aaron Ziegler, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Dr. Aaron Ziegler, PhD, CCC-SLP, was named Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a focus on Latin American studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University, and a PhD in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a voice-specialized clinical fellowship in speech-language pathology, holds a Certificate in Vocology, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University, earning a Certificate in Human Investigations. He has taught at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Columbia College-Chicago, Pacific University, Portland State University and the University of Ghana and has worked in a number of academic medical centers including the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Emory University Hospital Midtown, and Oregon Health & Science University. He has made significant contributions in the field as a voice and upper airway-specialized speech-language pathologist and co-developed PhoRTE® voice therapy, a standard of care and level 1B evidence-based treatment for age-related voice changes, or presbyphonia.
