Courtney Lancia, OTD, OTR/L
Courtney Lancia, OTD, OTR/L, was named Faculty Specialist in the Department of Occupational Therapy. She received a BS from The University of Scranton in 2001 and a Master of Science in occupational therapy from The University of Scranton in 2002. She earned a post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy from Gannon University in 2021, where she received the Graduate Studies Award for Scholastic Excellence and a research writing award. She has presented a variety of topics at state and national OT conferences and her doctoral capstone research focused on generational communication in OT education and practice. Dr. Lancia has experience in school-based OT practice but spent most of her clinical career in inpatient psychiatric care. She has served as adjunct faculty at The University of Scranton since 2012, as well as in Lackawanna College’s OT Assistant program.
