Megan Heeder, Ph.D
Megan Heeder, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Theology/Religious Studies. She studied the Great Books in the University of Notre Dame's Program of Liberal Studies with a minor in Theology and an interdisciplinary minor in Education, Schooling, and Society for her B.A.. After falling in love with both theology and teaching, Dr. Heeder completed Notre Dame's Echo program in teaching theology and earned her M.A.. She continued her studies at Boston College's Clough School of Theology and Ministry, earning her M.T.S.. After Boston, she moved to Milwaukee, WI and began her doctorate in Systematics/Ethics. In the course of her study, she developed an interest in engaging the Christian theological tradition to understand the role of beauty and goodness in eating disorders. This is the current focus of her research, encompassing fundamental moral theology, bioethics, and systematic theology.
