Mission Statement

The faculty, students and staff of the the  Panuska College of Professional Studies at The University of Scranton striver for two educational settings (community and traditional classroom). Community based learning courses offer students the opportunity in the “helping professions” to embrace and promote all that is fully human. Through class discussion, assignments and reflection students examine their own journey to become “men and women with and for others.”  The tenets of Jesuit Catholic pedagogy is to form “men and women of competence, conscience and compassionate commitment.” (The Characteristics of Jesuit Education, Fr. Peter Hans Kolvenbach, SJ.)
