CHEW's Weekly Wellness Classes  will be offering a mix of virtual and in-person classes (weather permitting). Check out our class locations and Zoom Class codes on RoyalSync or email chew@scranton.edu. Bring your own mat or towel for Yoga Outside, masks and proper social distancing required. Open to students, staff and faculty.

Students, Faculty & Staff are welcome to attend free Weekly Wellness Classes.

  Email chew@scranton.edu to be placed on a group email to receive notifications about information and /or cancellations about the class you are interested in attending.

   Energizing Yoga and Yoga Flow: This class is for experienced students as well as beginners with a higher fitness level. Breath is emphasized throughout this practice. The class includes sun salutations, standing, seated and reclining poses, as well as some balancing, poses. Relaxation closes the class.
Wednesdays @ 5:30pm  and Thursdays @ 6pm
 Instructors: Amy Driscoll McNulty and Scott Jacoby or  Chelsea Manganaro

 Yoga Flow Outside (when weather permits): This class is suitable for beginner yoga practitioners. Basic yoga poses will be taught.  Breathing practices and relaxation techniques will be presented to achieve an inner sense of wellbeing. Instruction will include simple alignment techniques to cultivate comfortable posture and internal strength.
Tuesdays and Fridays 12:15-12:45 GLM Patio 

The GLM Patio is located behind the Freshman Residence Halls on The Royal Way. The residence halls official names are Gannon Hall, Lavis Hall and Mackillop Hall. There are signs in front of them and  the patio is in the back.

Mindfulness Meditation: This class provides the fundamentals of Mindfulness Mediation which is shown to reduce anxiety, depression and to improve well-being. Through increased awareness of body sensations, thoughts and emotions and a reduction in stress sensations these practices are intended to enhance the participant’s ability to recognize and respond to the stressors of everyday life.
Through meditation and awareness exercises, we will explore this practical time-proven approach to living fully in the present moment.
Mondays and Tuesday 5:00 pm- 5:30 pm

Designed for all fitness levels, POUND provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, improving your health, and rocking out! 

Join us on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm to help POUND away stress and channel your inner rock star. (If you don't have drumsticks, participants can use anything straight or rod-shaped up to a quarter-pound in weight- Silicone kitchen utensils are also great alternatives. )

Light Weights & Abs:  Light Weights & Abs is an upbeat group fitness class combining total body toning and aerobic exercise. Have fun while burning fat and strengthening your muscles, heart and lungs. Please wear comfortable workout attire and sneakers.
