Psychology
Class of 2020

Why did you choose Scranton?

I chose Scranton because of the small class sizes and the sense of community I felt on campus. The professors and students made me feel welcome almost immediately.

What did you like about the psychology major?

I loved the connections with the professors and peers. The Department is large enough that there are incredible opportunities available often but still small enough that individual relationships are accessible and plentiful.

How did the psychology program prepared you for the real world?

My psychology degree helped me secure multiple job offers and taught me what most upper-level professions would require. In my current job, I use psychological principles, mostly behavior analytics, daily. Most of what I was taught became useful in my current profession.

What are you up to now?

I work at a clinic in Raleigh, North Carolina providing Applied Behavior Analysis to children with autism. I mainly work with early learners and teach them the skills that will help them navigate the world better.
