While this year has gone completely unexpectedly, I can assure you that your Scranton story doesn’t have to end here. From planned events to informal ones, you are always welcome back to campus. Ten years after I graduated I still see plenty of familiar faces. Go forth and set the world on fire, you may not understand what that means just yet but I guarantee you will figure out how to do so. Congratulations and God bless!Anne Ferketic '19
Dear Class of 2020, congratulations! For me, graduating was bittersweet. I was excited for new adventures, but also knew I would miss my friends and our wonderful community (including you!). I am sure it was not easy to part ways way back in March. If you missed being at school, know it is because you loved it, and you can continue to love and be a part of The University of Scranton through alumni events and the love you bring to your future communities. Don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call each other. I have kept close to a handful of friends just through phone calls. Hope to see you at the next Shamrockin’ Eve and sign up for the Alumni Book Club!

Congrats! You guys made it and although right now this seems quite bizarre and strange, this is good preparation for the next chapter of your lives. You've conquered the art of online learning, patience, finding creative ways to communicate and rolling through the sea of ambiguity that is life. This is just a small stepping stone to the endless possibilities that await. You've got this never forget to 'Go forth and set the world on fire' -St. IgnatiusJim Malone '88

Congratulations on graduating! It is such a huge accomplishment! I know that there is a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, but what the world needs to recover are social justice warriors, women and men for and with others, and people who wear their hearts on their sleeves and do such great things for others. In other words, what the world needs now are ROYALS like yourselves to go forth and set the world on fire. #AlmaMaterOursAlwaysJohn Donaghy '70

I am incredibly proud of the class of 2020. Just when senioritis could have crept in and caused a detour from your path to degree completion, you stuck with the program. You adapted. You persevered under adverse conditions. You forged on through to the other side of the journey that began in 2016. All of these are traits that will serve you well into the future. Carry onRebecca Williams and the Class of 2020. I can’t wait to see what you all accomplish in the future.
