The Floating Hospital

ESTABLISHED IN 1866
The Floating Hospital was founded as part of the St. John’s Guild of Trinity Church, this philanthropic effort to offer relief to the sick children of the poor is dedicated to serving all those in need without regard to creed, color or nationality.

The Leahy Clinic

The Leahy Center offers free "non-emergency" health care to uninsured Lackawanna County residents who may otherwise forgo health care due to cost, or seek care in hospital emergency rooms.  The Clinic strives to provide high quality care in a welcoming, respectful and compassionate environment.

The "Growing Stronger" Program

The Strong Women Program is an evidence-based strength-training program developed by the staff of the John Hancock Center for Physical Activity and Nutrition at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy of Tufts University.  The StrongWomen program is designed to eliminate barriers to exercise participation by enabling a variety of communities to offer a program that is easy to learn and can be performed with low-cost equipment in a variety of settings. The program is designed to be sensitive to women's participation and is also designed to increase full participation and completion.
