Professional Development Passport Program
The Professional Development Passport Program provides students with essential events in career building and networking to match their Jesuit education. This allows students to become familiar with professional development in many ways including: resume building, interviewing skills and preparation, job searching techniques, social media responsibilities, and other opportunities in career development.
The program sets expectations for student participation and provides a consistent degree of training and preparation to give students an edge in career preparation and professional development. Events, workshops, lectures and activities given by alumni, business professionals, staff and faculty touch on various topics that relate to the students' professional development. Student participation is recorded and applied to their professional development profile.
Completion of the non-academic events set forth in the Kania School of Management Professional Development Passport Program is a requirement to graduate from the Kania School of Management at the University of Scranton. Students are responsible to complete the required events to qualify for recognition at graduation. Students are required to provide their student ID to be scanned at events to ensure proper passport event attendance is documented. Students are required to complete the 8 Basic Module Events listed below to fulfill the graduation requirement.
Off-campus seminars, events, and conferences may qualify as a substitution for a required passport event. Completion of a Passport Event Approval Request Form must be submitted to Tamara Bautista, Passport Program Coordinator in advance for approval.
All events and requirements for the Professional Development Passport Program will be posted and tracked through Royal Sync. You can access your Royal Sync account by logging onto my.scranton.edu.
