W3USR Amateur Radio Station

About

W3USR is part of the University of Scranton Physics and Engineering Department, a University of Scranton Student Club, and a flagship station for the Ham Radio Science Citizen Investigation (HamSCI) project.

Open Station Hours

W3USR is located in Loyola Science Center Room 596 and is open to the public on Thursday evenings from 7-9 PM when regular university classes are in session.

Repeater

The W3USR repeater (445.875 - 82.5) is located on the HF tower on the roof of the Loyola Science Center in downtown Scranton.

Funding

Major support for the W3USR amateur radio station was made possible through a generous grant from the Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) foundation, with additional support from the National Science Foundation, Dr. Mary Lou West KC2NMC, Mr. Edward Hayes N6XEM, and Mr. Jeffrey DePolo WN3A.
