The Philosophy Society is the official chartered philosophy club of the University of Scranton. Its mission is to provide a creative, extracurricular space to explore philosophical concepts and how they apply in practice or abstractly outside of traditional classroom confines.

The Philosophy Society's aim is to create a community on campus dedicated to fostering intellectual curiosity and meaningful discussions. Examples of recent events sponsored by the Society include panels with Q&A sessions, group dialogues, guest speakers, debates, philosophy cafés, and philosophy-themed trips.

Recent highlights include: Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence,  College Democrats and Republicans Debate (which we moderated), and The Philosophy of Justice: In Theory & Practice
