How Did The Neuroscience Program Prepare You for Medical School?
The neuroscience program at Scranton was one of the main reasons why I chose to pursue my undergraduate education here. From the design of the neuroscience curriculum to the neuroscience faculty, the program prepared me in ways I never would have imagined for the next step in my educational journey, which was medical school.
What Did You Like About the Neuroscience Curriculum?
The curriculum's mix of hands-on learning through courses such as research methods and behavioral neuroscience lab along with the traditional lecture style courses challenged me to develop valuable skills such as critical reasoning, problem solving, and scientific development.
What Was Your Impression of the Neuroscience Faculty?
The neuroscience faculty were essential to my skill development through always ensuring I felt supported along the way. This allowed me to enter medical school prepared to not only take on the demanding preclinical curriculum, it also empowered me to be confident to participate in research early on in my medical school journey.
As I reflect on my time at the University of Scranton, I could not be more grateful to the neuroscience program and its faculty for their role in preparing me for life beyond college.
