2026 AJCU CAS Deans' Network Meeting

The University of Scranton will host the 2026 AJCU College of Arts and Sciences Deans' Network Meeting October 8th through October 10th, 2026. Together we will discuss a wide range of topics were are each facing within the scope of "Leading Arts and Sciences in a Time of Transformation and Constraint."

Pre-conference lunch and sessions will be available on Thursday, October 8th beginning at 12:00 p.m.

One session will focus on "Faculty Issues"  -- the varied facets our faculty engage in and others which we can help facilitate and provide guidance. The other session will focus on "Artificial Intelligence" -- engaging the campus community on ethical usage and maintaining human reasoning and critical thinking within this growing environment.

In the evening when the network meeting begins, guests will be treated to musical entertainment at the dinner reception, followed by dinner and remarks from our Provost and the Superior of the Jesuit Community. This will set the tone and provide a foundational perspective as we launch this networking event. It is our hope that this will infuse conversations and continue throughout the network meeting as we embark on various topics including: Career Readiness for CAS Students, Student Success, Student Retention, Managing in Leaner Times, Data Informed Decision-making, Advancement and Extramural Funding and a Jesuit Center presentation and Examen.

Our meeting will close on Saturday, October 10th, following a planning session for next year's event, as well as, reflection and observations of the time we have spent together, the work we do and what is needed for the future of Jesuit education.
