Yaquob Aljumaan
My name is Yaquob Aljumaan and I am a second year MBA candidate at The University of Scranton, focusing on Strategy and Business Management. I am originally from the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. I graduated from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon with a dual major in Human Resource and Business Management and Leadership. During my time at Portland State, I was the President of the Saudi Club and a member of a committee which planned and organized cross-cultural events and collaboration with community and campus organizations.
I am currently a Graduate Assistant for both the Office of Admissions and the Office of International Programs and Services at The University of Scranton. Part of my current job is to assist the International office and the Admission Office staff in communicating with both current and prospective international students. I enjoy helping students through the admission process and assisting them to become more familiar with The University of Scranton and the community.
I am thankful to have this opportunity to develop my professional skills and also to be a student at The University of Scranton. The opportunities to grow and to get involved have improved my leadership skills. This University has also become my second home and that’s due to the contagious caring atmosphere and the welcoming environment, which I believe add to the richness of this university
Outside of class, I enjoy reading, outdoors activities, and playing sports such as soccer. I also love to travel.
