Tuition and Fees

The Bursar’s office is the central billing and collection point for The University of Scranton. The office handles all tuition bills for students at The University. Each term is billed separately, meaning that students will be expected to pay their tuition and fees for each semester within the first month after the term start date. Otherwise, the student’s account is subject to being placed on Financial Hold. Students whose accounts are on Financial Hold are not eligible for registration for future terms and are also prevented from obtaining records, such as transcripts and grades. In addition, students whose accounts are not paid in full at the time of graduation will not receive a diploma or any other certification of program completion.

The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS) strongly recommends that international students wait until they arrive at The University to start making payments for tuition and fees. During the first week of the term, housing assignments and classes are sometimes changed for international students. Once housing and class registration are confirmed, students will receive an updated bill concerning costs for the semester.
