Isolation and Exposure Information

According to the CDC: “The date of your exposure is considered Day 0. Day 1 is the first full day after your last contact with a person who has had COVID-19.”

Exposure to Someone Testing Positive

Following the CDC's updated guidance, persons who have had recent confirmed or suspected exposure to an infected person should wear a mask for 10 days around others when indoors in public. The University requires higher-grade or double masks be worn. Individuals should secure a PCR test 5 days after exposure (or sooner, if they are symptomatic), irrespective of their vaccination status. Students and employees can get PCR testing through a regional testing outlet (e.g. Rite Aid or CVS). The CDC no longer recommends quarantine for exposed persons, regardless of vaccination status.
