Transportation for Volunteers
How will I get to my volunteer site?
Walk - sites within walking distance from campus
Your Own Vehicle
Campus Ministries' Center for Service & Social Justice Van
COLTS bus
County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS)
In keeping with "Green" thinking, we ask that students whose sites who are on the COLTS bus route use this service in lieu of van transportation, if your schedule permits. COLTS bus service is now FREE with your Royal Card. Just show your Royal Card to the driver in lieu of your fare anywhere in Lackawanna County! It's that EASY!!!!
Campus Ministries' Center for Service & Social Justice Van Shuttle
The Center for Service & Social Justice has a minivan for transportation to and from volunteer sites during the academic year. Requests for individual transportation to and from volunteer sites need to be made at least one week in advance by filling out the request on line. Rides are available, based on the schedules of the student drivers and other scheduled events, within the Scranton area. The Center for Service & Social Justice Transportation Request Form
Sorry, but we cannot accomodate transportation for Education majors doing Field Experience or Student Teaching. Please refer to the Student Teaching Handbook for more information.
