Matthew Wolek

Matthew Wolek, from Goshen, NY, is a 2nd year graduate student in the dual MBA/MHA program.  Matthew is currently serving as the Treasurer of Scranton’s American College of Healthcare Executives student chapter.  He joined the program after completing his undergraduate studies at Siena College, where he received his Bachelor’s of Science in management with a minor in healthcare administration and a concentration in strategic human resources development.

Matthew gained exposure to the healthcare industry through both shadowing various clinicians throughout high school and through internships throughout his undergraduate years.  He interned at Orange Regional Medical Center (ORMC), a hospital located in Middletown, NY.  He was exposed to practice management, contract negotiation, revenue cycle, decision support, financial analysis, and billing. 

Upon completion of the dual MBA/MHA program, Matthew would like to get into the financial side of healthcare, primarily in regards to revenue strategy or managed care.
