Chronic Medical Condition
Chronic Medical Conditions can impact student’s ability to function academically and thrive in a university setting. Factors like class attendance or ability to take notes for a long period of time may influence academic success.
Students with Chronic Medical Conditions should disclose this to the Office of Student Support and Success (OSSS) with appropriate documentation as per OSSS policies and procedures. Even students who do not wish to receive accommodations should disclose, in case the condition changes during the course of their academic career. Students should note that open communication with their professors and the OSSS is the best way to ensure academic success.
Retroactive accommodations are provided under discretion of faculty members, but are not required by federal law. The University of Scranton can only provide accommodations after we are made aware of your needs.
