Omega Beta Sigma

Omega Beta Sigma is the Women's Business Honor Society. It was founded at Scranton in 1982 by Associate Professor Deborah J. Gougeon, Ph.D., to recognize the academic excellence of female business students.

To qualify for membership, students must have at least a sophomore standing, a major or minor in some area of business, and an overall grade point average of 3.25. 

The society sponsors and participates in various service projects during the year, including: 

  • sponsored a Fall Welcoming Luncheon
  • making donations to the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, the Women's Resource Center, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Cura Personalis Program for the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
  • volunteering at the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen 
  • volunteering at the Dress for Success Luncheon 

Annual dues are $40.
