The goal of this space and the programs that will be affiliated with it is to empower students, faculty, and community partners to turn concepts into reality. We will be cultivating creative problem-solving, promoting entrepreneurship, and engaging with the community.
The space includes a large makerspace with 3-D printers, laser engravers, CNC fabrication tools, graphic design equipment, sewing and embroidery, wood working, and a professional level podcasting and video studio. Training will be available on the equipment as well as applicable design concepts with Tom, our new Director. Scheduling will begin soon on the upcoming IDEA Center website. The space also includes a conference space and classroom.
The interest of our student body is very high at the moment and many of us are excited to be able to use such a dynamic space.
