Engineering Internship, PECO

During the summer of 2013, I was employed as an intern for the Philadelphia utility company, PECO. PECO's main headquarters in located in center city Philadelphia and is in charge of the electric distribution of the city and its surrounding counties. I worked on multiple projects for PECO, but my main focus was in a Records Management Project and implementing a conversion process of documents to be compiled into a new online system. I took the lead in both of the aforementioned projects and consulted with teammates for additional help. Throughout my internship with PECO I gained a substantial amount of knowledge on electric distribution/transmission systems. Working closely with my fellow teammates, I learned to understand and follow the NERC/FERC standards to which electric utility companies must adhere.
