Assessment and Accreditation

Message from the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Programs for the College of Arts and Sciences

Assessment is a strategic process of identifying student learning outcomes, aligning the outcomes with curriculum requirements, systematically monitoring results and initiating changes for continual improvement.

At The University of Scranton assessment is rooted in the Jesuit tradition of reflection, discernment, cura personalis, magis and rei solicitudo.

Assessment is an ongoing process involving all aspects of student learning in higher education, including academic, extracurricular, student life, spiritual, and service learning.

The purpose of this web page is to provide transparency and access to information and resources to University of Scranton students, parents, faculty and staff, as well as the community and general public.
