It is impossible for me to separate my memories of the University of Scranton from the presence that Father Pilarz was on campus. In my mind, he and the university were one and the same. He embodied our core values, lived them daily, and inspired others to do the same. His death is a loss not only to current students and alumni, but also to future students who will not experience his leadership. Still, he has left an indelible mark on the university, and his legacy will continue to impact our community for generations to come.
