Father Pilarz made my experience at Scranton so much more memorable. He was a special person who truly cared about the students and tried to connect with as many as possible. He built a caring, inclusive community and was a great example of how to be a man or woman for others —we are all better for knowing him.

My favorite memories with Fr Pilarz are: Sunday evening mass, Jackie’s 21st birthday, graduation events, and Shamrockin eve.
The University of Scranton and it’s faculty and students are better for knowing him!!

What a life well lived, taken too soon, but forever cherished!!
