Our sincere condolences are with Fr Pilarz's family and the entire Jesuit community. While our interactions with Fr Pilarz were limited and distant, we admired his leadership for the institution we both love. His inspiring words, willingness to celebrate the good things and straightforward approach to take on the tough issues for the University of Scranton and our Society were and inspiration to us and to many. His leadership will be missed but not forgotten. He left an indelible mark on the University of Scranton and all he met during his service as a Jesuit.
