Surveillance Testing Procedures
Spring Semester COVID Testing
As we prepare to begin COVID surveillance testing for the spring semester, please take a few minutes to read this important information about new testing procedures.
On February 5, all students who attend on campus classes, including on- and off-campus students and commuters, and all faculty and staff planning to access campus at any time, will receive an email from email@example.com requesting account activation. The subject of the email will be “University of Scranton: Please verify your email.” Once you activate your account, you will use it to access your COVID-19 test results. It is essential that you activate your account before Sunday, February 7. Please keep your password in a safe place, as you will need it throughout the semester. Questions regarding creating your account can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Friday, February 5, individuals selected for the first week of COVID-19 surveillance testing will receive an email inviting them to select a time on Monday, February 8, or Tuesday, February 9, to test. Please select the date and time that fits your schedule. Testing will occur from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the rear courts of the Long Center.
Sampling for the tests is conduct via an anterior nasal self-swab, supervised by licensed healthcare providers.
