Blood Drives

Campus Ministries' Center for Service & Social Justice coordinates several 2 day blood drives each academic year with the American Red Cross.

Club and Resident Hall Floor Service Projects

Clubs and Resident floors are welcome to adopt the drive and handle publicity as a service project, in addition to hosting a recruitment of donors table before the drive. Please contact Ellen Judge at ellen.judge@scranton.edu for more information.

Donation Guidelines

Blood Donation Guidelines can change. For the most up to date information, please refer to the American Red Cross Blood Donor Guidelines

Donation Type - Donation Frequency*

Blood (whole blood) - Every 56 days

Platelets - Every 7 days, up to 24 times / year

Plasma - Every 28 days, up to 13 times / year

Double Red Cells - Every 112 days, up to 3 times / year

Volunteering at Campus Blood Drives

Those who are wishing to volunteer at our drives as a canteen worker, escort, or student nurse, please email our Red Cross liasion at tiffany.brown@redcross.org prior to the drive dates.

Campus Blood Drive Dates and Location

Blood Drives are set for 2018-19. They are held in the Long Center Lobby from 11am-4pm.
