Cyrus P. Olsen III, D.Phil. (Oxon.)

Associate Professor

Dr. Olsen is Associate Professor of Theology/Religious Studies at The University of Scranton, where he has been employed since 2006. A graduate of the Comparative History of Ideas Program at The University of Washington, and Systematic Theology from The University of Oxford, his research and teaching focus on religion and society from 1750-Present.  In addition to his primary academic appointment, Dr. Olsen is also Research Fellow and Network Co-Lead for AI&Faith, and an Affiliate Research Fellow through a Templeton World Charity Foundation Grant at the Human Network Initiative, a subsidiary of the Dhand Lab specializing in Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, located in Cambridge, MA.
