Major: I’m a psychology major and criminal justice minor.
Year: I’m currently a junior, Class of 2013.
Hometown: I am originally from Palmerton, PA and currently have a house in Stroudsburg, PA about 40 minutes from the University of Scranton. During the semester I am a dorm student, but return home for the weekends.
Activities: At the University of Scranton I am currently a Research Assistant, a club member of Mountain Sports, Colleges Against Cancer, Psychology, and Criminal Justice clubs. For two years, I have been the Luminaria chair for Relay for Life. I am also a Big Sister for the Big Brother Big Sister Program, and I have volunteered my time at the Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA. I currently work off campus as a waitress part-time.
Future Plans: As of now, I plan on gaining experience in the criminal justice field as a prosecutor for special victims. I am undecided if I will attend grad school for forensic psychology or law school for a special victims lawyer.
Research: This is my first semester as a research assistant and I am very interested in working with other University students and Dr. Nolan to expand on my interest in social psychology.
