The University of Scranton field hockey team has established itself as one of the top programs in the Landmark Conference over the past two seasons. The Royals posted back-to-back seasons of 11-or-more victories for the first time in 14 years and advanced to the Landmark Conference playoffs for the third time in five seasons.

Scranton, which plays in the highly competitive Landmark Conference, annually plays a schedule of approximately 18 to 20 games, including six conference games. The Royals’ schedule often includes matchups against regionally and nationally ranked opponents in the Northeast.

Seventeen players have earned all-conference honors over the past six seasons, including two Player of the Year honorees and one Rookie of the Year. Scranton players have also earned all-region honors on nine different occasions since 1993. The team has made one appearance in the NCAA Tournament, coming in 1997.
