[MICRO]GRANTS: Men's Golf

The University of Scranton men’s golf team has become one of the most successful athletic programs on campus. The Royals have posted 10-or-more wins in each of the past three seasons and annually play some of the toughest competition in the Northeast.

The men’s golf team plays a split season, competing in both the fall and spring semesters. The Royals are members of the Empire 8 Conference, which holds a 72-hole championship with 36 holes played in the fall and 36 in the spring. Home matches are played at both Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb, Pa. and Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic, Pa.

The Royals consistently face some of the toughest competition in the region while playing on some of the area’s best courses. Your gifts help support payment for greens fees, travel and meal expenses, training technology upgrades and other program improvements that will help the Royals remain one of the top intercollegiate golf programs in the Northeast.

“The performance of the University of Scranton golf team is at an all-time high. We have received national attention and with your help we will be able to continue to make the University proud,” said head coach Ed Karpovich. “Given the cost of green fees for practice rounds, the Royal golf team certainly appreciates the continued support of our donors."
