Steve Joseph celebrates the 25th anniversary of the 1983 Championship season with Coach Bess.
When we received an invitation to return for the 25th Reunion recognizing the 1983 National Basketball Championship, it allowed us to reminisce about how blessed we both were to attend this great University. Our return to Scranton prompted a $25,000 challenge gift to establish the Robert M. "Coach Bess" Bessoir Scholarship and a call to athletes, alumni, friends and family to help fund a $50,000 endowment that honors Coach's achievements and commitment to mentoring young athletes and students at our alma mater.
